ESI Mobile App Privacy Policy
Fitness AppS – Landice & Woodway
Last updated August 24, 2026
ESI Electronic Products Corp. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application for Landice and Woodway fitness equipment (the “Application”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Application.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you by updating the “Last updated” date above. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party app store (Google Play) from which you installed the Application, or to the third-party fitness services described below, each of which has its own privacy policy governing the information you provide directly to them.
The Application is used to connect to Landice and Woodway exercise equipment over Bluetooth, track your workouts, and, if you choose, share them to third-party fitness services. We collect only the information described below — the Application does not include social login, in-app messaging, advertising, contests, or payment features.
To calculate your personalized target heart-rate range and set safe program limits, you may enter: your first name, height, weight, date of birth, gender, and target heart rate. This information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers. If you use the Application on a shared or gym device, you may create a profile for another person (for example, a family member); by doing so, you confirm you have their permission to enter their information.
When you connect to a Landice or Woodway machine over Bluetooth Low Energy, the Application reads live workout data directly from the equipment — such as speed, incline, resistance, distance, calories, cadence, and heart rate (if a heart rate sensor is connected). A summary of each workout (date, equipment model and serial number, duration, distance, calories, average heart rate, pace, and similar metrics) is saved locally on your device as your workout history.
The Application requests Bluetooth permissions to discover and connect to your exercise equipment. On some Android versions, the operating system also requires location permission in order to perform a Bluetooth scan. We do not access, collect, use, or store your GPS location or any other location data.
If you choose to register your equipment through the Application, you may enter your first and last name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, phone number, purchase date, dealer name, and equipment serial number. This information is saved locally on your device and, when you tap “Register Product,” is placed into an email using your device’s own email app, addressed to us at Service@EsiElectronic.com. You will see and can review, edit, or cancel this email in your email app before it is sent. We use this information solely to process your product registration and warranty, and to provide customer service.
If you choose to share a workout to Strava, Runkeeper, or MapMyRun, you will be directed to sign in on that service’s own login page. We never see or store your password for these services. We receive and store only a temporary access token, which the Application uses to post the workout summary you selected (such as duration, distance, calories, and average heart rate) to your account on that service. Nothing is shared with these services unless you initiate it.
We use the information described above only to:
As described above, we send the workout data you select to Strava, Runkeeper, or MapMyRun only when you choose to share a workout. We do not share your profile data (name, height, weight, date of birth, gender, or target heart rate) with these services.
Your product registration information may be sent to the equipment manufacturer, Landice or Woodway, via your device’s email app, as described above, for the purpose of processing your registration and warranty.
If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by applicable law.
If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, your information may be transferred to the successor entity as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies (such as cookies or web beacons) in the Application.
The Application links to third-party services (Strava, Runkeeper, MapMyRun) for the sign-in and sharing features described above. Once you leave the Application to sign in to one of these services, any information you provide to them is governed by that service’s own privacy policy, not this one. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Your profile data and workout history are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on any server we operate. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect the information you provide to us and the data we send to third-party services (including transmitting it over encrypted connections). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may review, edit, or delete any profile and its workout history at any time from within the Application. Uninstalling the Application removes this locally stored data from your device. To manage or revoke the Application’s access to your Strava, Runkeeper, or MapMyRun account, use that service’s own account settings. To request deletion of product registration information we hold, or with any other privacy questions, contact us using the information below.
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 except where a parent or guardian enters that child’s information themselves (for example, creating a family member’s profile). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without a parent or guardian’s involvement, please contact us using the information below and we will take steps to delete it.
